If your church has identified a need for a quiet shared space to help people with their wellbeing then we can help you set up a cafe. This can be in a space you rent, borrow or own as long as you can work with the 3 core principles of Renew Wellbeing.

being prayerful : being in partnership: being present

A renew space is a small, quiet cafe style space, that serves as a place of welcome and shared habits for good mental and emotional wellbeing.

A renew space operates very simply along 3 basic principles

1. Be present.... a group of people of any age and stage in life willing to be present and share hobbies . All activities are co produced and are based on the 5 ways to wellbeing.

2. Be prayerful...as church funded projects there will be access to simple daily rhythms of prayer and meditation in a separate quiet space open to anyone .

3. Be in partnership.... a healthy working relationship with the local council mental health team and some access to professional advice in a non clinical setting.

If you want to begin the journey or find out more you can

  • Visit an existing renew space
  • Have a visit from Ruth to chat through your ideas
  • Have an information evening for your church

If you decide it is right to progress the Renew Wellbeing team will be with you all the way. In fact we encourage you to join the Renew Wellbeing family and help us as we learn together and grow a movement. Please see the 'Next steps - Get involved' document below.
